Scrap Asset:

Assets which have been entered into the system for reporting purposes which have no resale value can be removed from inventory and placed in a Scrap status for reporting by creating a Scrap Order.    Scrap orders are similar to Sales Orders but their purpose is to group items together for removal from inventory.

• Select the Scrap Asset menu item on the Inventory Menu
• This will bring up a search screen
• The search screen is the same as the Asset Search used in searching inventory for creating Sales Orders.
• The process is the same as  Sales Order creation all the way through the customer entry page.
• Instead of entering the sales customer you can enter the company or partner which will be used to recycle or process the scrap items.  
• This will create a permanent record of the final disposition of each item on the order.
